Michael Chandler co-founded MFA and has been based in Taiwan since 1999. He holds an English FA Level 2 (UEFA C) coaching qualification, along with an FA Certificate in Psychology in Football. With over 20 years of coaching experience in Taipei, Michael places great emphasis on understanding and supporting the individual needs of each player.

Cedric is a passionate goalkeeping coach dedicated to developing young players in a positive and supportive environment. He holds an AFC ‘C’ Goalkeeping License and a Goalkeeping Diploma from the Welsh FA, equipping him with modern coaching methods and specialized goalkeeper training knowledge. Cedric focuses on building strong technical fundamentals, confidence, and decision-making to help young goalkeepers reach their full potential both on and off the pitch!

Coach Thomas Costa is an AFC B-licensed coach at Master Football Academy and a former first-division player in Taiwan with extensive international coaching experience. He also specializes in 1-on-1 and small group classes. For younger academy players, he focuses on technical skills, individual tactics, and personal development, while older players train with an emphasis on team tactics to excel in competitive play.

Matt holds Australian coaching qualifications, including Grassroots Football, Futsal, and Goalkeeping Certificates. His coaching philosophy focuses on creating a positive, challenging, and enjoyable environment where players can build confidence, improve their skills, and reach their full potential while embracing the joy of the beautiful game.

Coach Elias Argueta is a professional footballer and licensed youth coach with over eight years of experience in the Taiwan Premier League and more than six years dedicated to developing young talent. Trained in the prestigious Club Deportivo Olimpia academy in Honduras and a former youth national team player, Elias has played for top clubs including Tatung FC—where he became a double champion. As a coach with Master Football Academy, he applies his deep playing experience to youth development, emphasizing technical precision, tactical intelligence, and mental resilience. His detail-oriented approach focuses on building complete, confident, and adaptable footballers.

Coach Matt is an English FA and AFC qualified coach with over 20 years of coaching & educating experience, and has worked at grassroots & pro academy levels across Asia as coach, head coach and technical director. Although he likes to coach with technical & tactical structure, he also believes in giving players freedom to express themselves with bravery and creativity on the ball - and with enjoyment! Matt has also coached in the Taiwan Premier League, and professionally in the Philippines Premier League, China League One and 2nd tier in Ghana, whilst additionally specialising in individual player development.

Coach Samuel is a CONCACAF-certified coach with over 10 years of experience working with youth and adult players. He began coaching high school boys’ and girls’ teams before expanding to adult men’s and women’s amateur football. Samuel focuses on player development, technical skills, game intelligence, and decision-making, creating fun and engaging sessions that balance the technical and tactical sides of the game.
